Buffalo Wings

This classic appetizer is always a crowd-pleaser. Great for football games, hanging around or even a light meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 whole chicken wings
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 C. hot sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. chili powder

Using kitchen shears cut chicken wings at the joint. Place chicken either on the grill over medium heat or in a streamer basket over boiling water. Cook until you see grill marks if you are using the grill and for about 10 minutes in the steamer. Remove wings and let cool. Preheat oven to 425 degrees and bake for 20 minutes. While chicken is in the oven, take a mixing bowl and combine butter, garlic, hot sauce, salt, and chili powder. Mix completely. When chicken is done toss each wing in the sauce and serve warm.

Hot and Spicy Spinach and Artichoke Dip

A dip and chip is always a popular snack for any crowd.  The great thing about this dip is you can serve with chips or bread.  You can even go the healthier route and dip delicious veggies as well!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, cleaned and chopped
  • 1 cup artichoke hearts, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese

Gently boil the spinach and artichoke until it is cooked through and tender. Set aside to drain. Discard the cooking liquid.

In a large serving bowl, mix the other ingredients together and season. Make sure you check the seasoning of the pepper and garlic before adding the spinach and artichoke.
