Fresh out of Culinary School, Chef Jonathan Calabrese began running a small catering operation alongside his first Dallas restaurant, Savory Bistro. In 2001, Jon and business partner Anthony Winkler made the decision to focus on growing Savory Catering to be one of the top caterers in Dallas and neither have looked back since.
In tandem with the growth of Savory Catering, Jon & Anthony opened several of the best restaurants in Dallas, including Uptown favorites State & Allen and The Nodding Donkey. More recently, the pair has opened a BBQ & bourbon inspired restaurant in the medical district of Dallas, Maple Landing, as well as an artisan pizza & craft beer focused spot next door, called Social Pie.
With a recently built 5,000 sq ft catering kitchen and years of experience in the restaurant industry, Savory Catering has grown to be not just the first choice for events in Dallas, but for the build and daily operational needs for large corporate kitchens, as well. Our on-site eateries offer building employees a convenient and relaxing spot to grab lunch, with some of our top selling items from our family of restaurants available. We also specialize in day-of catering needs, for office meetings and events.
